Hospital...

Today John was running a temp around 102 so we called the Dr and he had us come right on in... you know the rest based on the title. They admitted John after taking some bloodwork and finding out that he has low white blood cell counts. I guess we really wern't shocked, but it still wasn't fun. This isn't uncommon but it isn't good. He's on antibodics and fluids which is good, and he's where they can watch him and help him 24/7. They ran a bunch of tests and we won't have results for 2 days because they have to run cultures and that takes a little time. If you're in the area, he really doesn't want any visitors right now. He's pretty sick, sicker than I've ever seen anyone. Keep praying!

Please pray that he gets stronger and helathy once again. Pray that Sam & Sara don't freek out, they seem to be handling it all well and pray that John stops worrying about all his responsibilities and worrys about getting well. He promised me he would keep fighting!! I'll post more when I know something.

Fonebone-
Hang tough. We're thinking of you. Every day. Just got some pics from b-ball /8th grade. No shots of the toe cramps, but it shows the short shorts we wore. Not sure how today's athletes can run in their long shorts. Take care

I know that in the midst of all this turmoil, you are experiencing that amazing peace that really does pass all understanding. It's supernatural and it can only come from the Holy Spirit!

So, my dear, my prayer is that he will quiet your fears with his love. (Sounds familiar, huh?! I know it's your favorite verse!) Just picture God, our daddy, holding your entire family in his arms, rocking you and soothing you and whispering his assurances in your ear. He is rejoicing over you--that you have climbed into his arms during this time and that you are trusting him. He takes great delight in you!
Love you, Heidi

John, Rita, Sara and Sam,
Please know that payers are shooting towards heaven from Texas every morning and night.

John-I was thinking about the first time I knew who you were. Since I didn't go to Whittier, It was in 7th grade. It was a Saturday morning and some of us were up at the school for a solo contest. You and your mom were standing in the hallway where our lockers were (in the old building) looking at the ratings that were posted on a door. I was with Becky Phillips and wearing panty hose for the first time :) She knew who you and your mom were and explained that you were a piano player. I was impressed because you got a 1. I'm pretty sure I didn't--as I recall, I forgot most of my piece halfway through-so embarrassing. I think I'll blame it on the panty hose! Hang in there!

John,You, Sam and Sara are surrounded by the power of God, who loves you more than we can imagine. You also have the love of your bothers and sisters in Christ and that of your earthly family, which by the grace of God is sending our most fervent prayers to the feet of our Savior Jesus. All our love is packed into them.
